Tokyo Imperial Palace East Gardens

Happy New Year! It’s been ages since the last time I gave you a life update, and I’m sorry for that. My MIA status ends today. If you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (anapicazzo), you certainly know what I have been up to.

So…*Drumroll please* I WENT TO JAPAN!

I never in my life thought I would get to travel to the other side of the planet and visit one of the craziest and yet most organized cities in the world, of course I’m talking about Tokyo.

Tokyo is unlike any other city, it’s the only place where you will find vending machines on every corner (even in residential areas), it’s the home of honest and kind people that genuinely care about taking care of the environment. The delicious food is only a plus, anyways, I could go on talking about Japan for days, but today I want to focus on the Tokyo Imperial Gardens.

It was my first day in Tokyo, a windy one, the sky was clear and the sun was shining. A perfect day to visit the Imperial East Garden.

The Imperial Palace and Garden are located in Chiyoda, sadly as a civilian you can only enter the palace premises on two special days which are:  New Years Greeting (January 2nd) and The Emperor’s Birthday (December 23rd). However, you can visit the East Garden for free throughout the whole year.

The Imperial Garden is really big, you have to walk a lot if you want to see everything, that’s why I wore my Lolys that day, they’re super cute and they are super comfortable, which was perfect during my whole trip because oh boy did I walk.

I hope this post inspired you to visit Tokyo, it’s the most amazing place ever!
